The English Room is located in the downstairs (garden) level of the inn, tucked away in the very back of the house. While this room has limited natural light, it features a full-sized brass bed, centrally-controlled air conditioning, smart tv, wireless internet, a comfy leather lounge chair and refrigerator. Coffee bar and water just outside the room. Pet friendly. This room is probably the quietest room in the inn and it is also the smallest, comfortable for one and intimate for two. The English Room has a small private ensuite bath. Fun antique prints complement English Baronial furnishings. It’s where town meets country, where Colfax meets Fowler!
Special Note:
Guests bringing large amounts of luggage might want to consider one of our larger rooms. This room also holds our breaker system, so your stay could potential be interrupted if someone flips the breaker, you agree to allow us in if the breaker does flip. Also, guests of size may experience a challenge moving from the bedroom into the bathroom.
The room is very small, but worked very well for my wife and I. Excellent location in downtown Chicago. Very safe neighborhood. So many restaurants and bars very close. Parking was fine but difficult to find. Would highly recommend staying here we will be back!
Incredible and unique experience! Everything was really clean and was really comfortable. Remember to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and other self cleaning stuff you might need. Everything was really well explained so you’ll never feel lost with something. Highly recommend!
This was such a pleasant place to retreat to after enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city. They’ve created a little oasis with seating inside of a garden, quaint rooms, and surprising privacy. The communication is impeccable and you have all that you need for the perfect experience.
